To The Autistic Community

My fellow autistic human. You're so amazing and you need to realize that. It's okay if you don't believe me, I'm going to prove it.

Before I do that, I want you to think about the question "What makes me amazing?". You can come up with a lot of answers if you really try, I'm sure about that.

It can be useful to write all of your answers down, just to remind yourself how special you are. You should read that list every time you're feeling sad.

Anyway, it's time to convince you of your own amazingness. Have fun reading this article!

To give you a clear overview of my arguments, I decided to put them in a fun and instructive list. Let's get started.

  • You see things differently

You look to the world from a  different point of view than "normal" people. Therefore, you got the ability to come up with revolutionary ideas. Highly-respected historical figures like Albert Einstein and  Abraham Lincoln were likely to have autism, pretty amazing right?

Don't get me wrong. I don't guarantee you will be the next Einstein or Lincoln. You'll need to work for that. On the bright side, your autism can help you reach the top if you really want that.

  • You got special strengths

Your autism has given you special strengths. These gifts, as I like to call them, can help you outdo normal people in a few areas. For example, your extraordinary attention to detail can make you an outstanding architect.

I can come up with a whole list of examples. This is because there are lots of autistic strengths. Gifts like being very creative, having a rich fantasy and having excellent senses can really help you to stand out in a few areas.

  • You got a deeper understanding of things

I've experienced that autistic people are usually wiser than their peers. I'm, of course, talking about people with high-functioning autism, but I still think it's worth naming.

There are some articles about the connection between autism and spirituality. People started to research this connection because someone with autism has usually a deeper understanding of things. You, as an autistic person, can see through the veil and that's something most people can't.

Conclusion

Come on, these arguments were pretty convincing, right? You finally know why you're so amazing.

I hope that this article has helped you in as many ways as it could have because that's what it's for. I want you to overcome your obstacles and I can assist you in that by motivating you. You got the potential, all I can do is help you fulfill it.

It may sound a bit unoriginal, but I got a dream. I want to make this world a better place for people with autism. A lot needs to change before my dream is realized but I believe it's possible.

You probably share my dream, don't you? So let's realize it. You can make the difference by, for example, sharing & reading my articles. It can really be that simple.

Thank you for reading this article, I hope you had a fun and instructive time!
